I am an extremely competent Web Designer & Front End Developer with 15 years experience. I started web designing in London in 1996. It was the ‘Wild West’ of the internet, everything was new, not many people knew what they were doing. I learnt on the job and with this experience I now know that the web should be about simple, clever design and accessibility.
I have expert knowledge of CSS, XHTML, HAML, SASS, cross browser issues and standards compliant WC3 coding with a strong visual sense to either to design from scratch or to turn designs into pixel perfect robust web pages, solid practical knowledge of working with Ruby on Rails, PHP and ASP development platforms and ability to build and customise WordPress themes. Familiarity with version control software such as GIT and SVN and hands on experience of working in an Agile/Scrum environment.
